As a sea kayak leader preparing for adversity and the harsh reality of a marine environment I need quality equipment that can be relied upon. Bob’s new high visibility survival blanket has shown it is ready for the challenge the ocean throws us.
Mates4Mates tested the blankets extensively as part of training for our next Bass Strait Crossing in Feb 2018. Bob’s blankets are high visibility and more readily seen from a distance or in a rescue situtation, they do not delaminate or tear like many of the cheaper options out there. If you are relying on a space blanket in a marine environment ensure that salt water does not turn your space blanket into a clear celephane wrap with no reflective thermal properties whatsoever.
